A DC Landmark
Annies is one of the few remaining restaurants in the DuPont Circle area from when it was the only gay hotspot in DC. The large interior can handle even the hungriest Saturday Night crowds and the front room gives you a great view of the gay crowds moving up and down 17th street. The combination steakhouse/diner menue is reliable comfort food perfect for a late night bull session after hitting the bars. Don't expect a lo cal selection, but you can burn off your meal with a nice walk around the neighborhood since Annie's has one of the best locations in the city.
Never a let down! NEVER!
If it is..contact me...I will pay for your water....or waiter...whichever cums first. The steak is the BEST in Dupont!
A good steak at a reasonable price
I really enjoyed my dinner at Annie's. There with a large group our service was excellent. What was really surprising was the price. Although not cheap, it was reasonable when compared to restaurants with a similar menu. The yummy food was well prepared and served. One challenge is parking is this dense urban neighborhood. I'm going back to Annie's hope you will too.
An institution
I used to live in DC and would often visit here, and try to hit it up every time I come back to DC. The food might not be THE best, but the place has been around forever, brings the gay community together, is always fun, and stays open after the bars close. And for a diner, the food is usually pretty darn good.
